E3 2010: It’s coming!
In a just few weeks, one of the biggest gaming conventions will set its stage in the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Like any convention, and especially since this is one of THE conventions, a lot is expected to be seen in E3 2010. Different games coming from well-known developers, whether it be a sequel, a new installment, or an entirely new game will surely take the gamers to a whole new level, and three of the big guys, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo also have something to take fans to a whole new gaming experience.
Here are some of the things to be seen this coming E3:
Don’t just sit there playing games, stand up! Play some more!
Remember how our parents always tell us to stop playing video games and play outside? We already solved that problem with the Wii, but for those who have a PS3 or an XBOX360 instead of the Wii, here are more solutions.
1. Microsoft’s Project Natal – XBOX360

Like what Felicia Day said: “…your foot is your foot.”
This is by far the coolest thing Microsoft has announced. Natal is an add-on for the 360 that is simply a camera with a built-in microphone. However, what Natal delivers is not at all simple. With Natal, the player is the controller itself. The camera is a motion sensor that detects the movement of the player and of course, integrates it with the game. You do not hold a controller and control(duh) your character. In fact, you are the character. The character moves exactly as you do. Also, you can interact with in-game characters and your friends via voice recognition.
And these are just some of the features of Natal. Microsoft’s Project Natal will surely give players a whole new gaming experience.
These could turn into light sabers.
Somewhat similar to the Wii, but with a lot more to experience. Sony’s new PlayStation Move also takes players to the motion sensor bandwagon, but in style! The PlayStation Move detects your motion sharply and accurately and integrates it with the game, in full HD. Now here’s something to enjoy.
Armed with the motion navigator, the motion controller and the Playstation Eye, the Move gives players the control in the game, putting them inside the game, in HD.
Now you can remove the couch dent and keep playing, thanks to these. Just make sure you have enough room to play. You don’t want to break mother’s vase, do you?
Going 3D
Think 3D is just for pictures and movies? Or that you need those blue and red glasses to see in 3D? Think again! Nintendo has made something that will let you enjoy 3D gaming, and also let you put it in your pocket(or bag).
Mario can now come out of the 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS is the new hand held from Nintendo, much like its predecessors, but with a lot more bang. The 3DS features 3D gaming without the glasses, and “force feedback mechanism” to let the players get the feel of in-game collisions.
Players will really get sucked in this hand held. This will give the players an enjoyable gaming experience.
New to Play
E3 will feature new games, including the much anticipated Metal Gear: Peace Walker for the PSP and Halo: Reach for the XBOX 360. About 30 game companies will be featuring their new games on E3, including Konami, Namco, Elextronic Arts, and Microsoft.
All of these are just around the corner.
